Last autumn we were presented with the opportunity to work with the incredible Vendee2020Vision team.
Launched in 2016, Vendee2020Vision is a new initiative to nurture Britons’ Offshore sailing talent along the path to success in yacht racing’s most challenging event – the Vendée Globe, the quadrennial singlehanded non-stop round the world race.
In September 2017, the team attempted to beat the record of the Length of Britain challenge and needed a website to mark this momentous event and showcase the Vendee2020Vision. With only two weeks until the start of the race, the Waypoint team took up the challenge.
Such an impressive feat, required a very media led website to showcase the challenging sailing conditions and sponsorship opportunities. High quality photography and videos of the boat and team in action led the direction of the website, with a news page highlighting the achievements of the team, which could be easily updated.
Now the focus is on delivering the first British winner of a solo non-stop around the world race for over 50 years in 2020. The team are looking for partners to share in the journey and success of this unique CSR and sports marketing platform.
